summer, New Ground Day Camps, a program with Koinonia NYC
funded by Lutheran Disaster Response of New York, moved
beyond September 11, preparing children for life's challenges
by empowering them with God's support and love experienced
in community. During July and August, 18 camps were held
at ELCA and LCMS churches throughout the New York metropolitan
