LDRNY staff contributes to 9/11 book
LDRNY Coordinator Mikki Baloy, Deputy Coordinator Tom Taylor and Executive Director John J. Scibilia, contributed to a new book titled On the Ground after September 11: Mental Health Responses and Practical Knowledge Gained. The main launch event for the book will take place in the Schimmel Auditorium at Pace University. downtown Manhattan. Sept. 9, 1:30-5 p.m. If you'd like to attend, please email Baloy at Mikki@ldrny.org by Aug. 15.
New Ground Day Camp in session at these churches
New Ground Day Camp continues this week at Our Saviour, Jamaica; St. Philip's, Brooklyn; Our Saviour's Atonement, Manhattan; Christ, Staten Island; and St. James- St. Matthew, South Ozone Park.
Steel cross to be preserved at Ground Zero
Work will soon begin on the underground ruins at the World Trade Center site. Ground is to be broken in September for a new terminal on the eastern side of the site. The steel cross that was found at the site will be incorporated into the new construction. To read the full story, go to www.LDRNY.org

LDRNY partner Koinonia NYC invites you to take a Faith Walk around Ground Zero. Faith Walks are inspirational and educational tours of Ground Zero and surrounding landmarks, encouraging healing and hope in the face of despair.
